2002: Played in six games before being placed on injured reserve on October 18 due to torn ligaments in his left knee… Returned a kickoff for 18 yards and played on special teams coverage units vs. New York Jets (9/8)… Recorded one tackle on special teams at Minnesota (9/15)… Had two rushing attempts for four yards subbing in for an injured Travis Henry late in the first quarter at Denver (9/22) and recorded two assists on special teams… Rotated in at running back vs. Chicago (9/29), registering 11 carries for 31 yards while adding two tackles on special teams… Played on coverage units vs. Oakland. (10/6)… Played on special teams units at Houston (10/13) before leaving the game with a season-ending left knee injury… Placed on injured reserve on October 18.

2001: Appeared in 15 games and started the final three games at running back in his second NFL season…Finished second on the Buffalo Bills in rushing (behind former Tennessee teammate Travis Henry) with 80 carries for 341 yards and two touchdowns… Added nine catches for 59 yards receiving… Saw additional action on kickoff returns and gained 299 yards on 19 returns… Had just one rushing attempt in first six games and saw majority of action on special teams.

2000: Appeared in all 16 games and started seven at running back in his first NFL season… Led the team with 591 yards rushing for the season and was also the team's leading rusher in nine games… Appeared in his first NFL game vs. Tennessee (9/3) after returning from a training camp knee injury that forced him to miss the entire 1999 season, and rushed for 16 yards on 10 carries… Made his first NFL start in a 27-18 win vs. Green Bay (9/10), finishing with 31 yards rushing.

1999: Was drawing raves for his performance in his first NFL training camp… Tore ACL in drills on 8/10/99 and missed entire season.
